Have only a single story or a few stories instead of a complete manuscript? Want a professional to help you polish your pieces before you submit them to literary journals or contests? Need guidance in choosing which writing samples to include with an application for a retreat or fellowship or grant? At the end of a story edit consultation, you will have:

1. An edited story or edited stories
2. A candid editorial letter in which I outline my recommendations on how to improve your work, plus strategic advice on the business of publishing, which is just as important as the craft of writing
3. Verbal feedback via phone for up to thirty minutes

It takes approximately two weeks for me to turn around a story edit. To reserve a spot on my calendar, I require you to sign a consultation agreement and pay the fee in full upfront.

Story Edit Fee = $200 per story

What is the title of your work?:
Is it for adults, young adults, or children?:
What kind of fiction is it (fantasy, science fiction, literary, etc.)?:
How many stories do you want me to edit?
How many pages in length is the story? If there is more than one, how many pages in length is each story? When determining the page count, be sure the manuscript is double-spaced, has one-inch margins at the top and bottom and 1.25 margins at the left and right hand side of the page, and use a 12-point Times Roman font. (This should be the default setting for Microsoft Word; if you use Word chances are your work is already set up this way.):
How many drafts have you written?:
Is it written in English or Spanish?:
What is the name of the person who told you about me? If you weren't referred to me, how did you find out about my services?:
Is there anything else I should know about you and/or your work?:
